We are a Berlin-based specialty coffee roastery and a cafe.
Populus Coffee is formed by the people growing, processing, sourcing, roasting, brewing and enjoying our coffees.
Coffee is our life. We take great pride in what we do as well as the way we do it. It all comes down to sharing the same passion and working with same minded people through out the whole coffee chain. Therefore we value long lasting relationships to ensure transparency, quality and truly fair trade.
Roasting is the way to find hidden flavours and aromas in raw coffee. The beans that we work with are chock-full of sweetness and flavours of ripe berries, tropical fruits, chocolate, floral notes, nuttiness and pleasant acidity depending on variety, origin and processing.
We want people to discover coffee as what it can be when the right people collaborate.

Our coffees represent quality and sustainability. Therefore we focus on creating long-lasting and open relationships with the producers. Thus ensuring these factors to improve from season to season. We select the farms and producers we work with not by certificates but by actions taken in cultivating coffee. Because of this we need a trustworthy sourcing partner and for this reason we have chosen the CollaborativeCoffeeSource to help us in our mission.
Because coffee is seasonal and we are a small roastery we buy small lots.
Therefore our offerings change often, but the same farms and producers are likely to return come next harvest.
